La Montañuela is the wine label of Camila Carrillo, grown and made in Vermont.

La Montañuela is an ode to my grandfather, my family, my childhood and my Colombian roots. La Montañuela was reborn in 2019, the year that my grandfather passed away and the same year I released my first wine into the world. In honor of my grandfather’s life and his influence on mine, I decided to carry on the name of his beloved farm.

La Montañuela’s practices both in the farming and winemaking is to keep things simple and traditional. To observe and learn from nature, to work with it. As my mentors, Deirdre Heekin and Caleb Barber of La Garagista taught me, winemaking begins in the vineyard.
